One important way we can invest in our residents and fellows is by providing support for educational endeavors and activities. Funding for conference travel, surgical equipment and textbooks can be awarded to deserving trainees through the Vascular Surgery Education Support Fund. Having a fund of this kind not only helps us recruit and retain leading vascular surgery residents and fellows to our program, but it also gives our trainees the equipment and tools they need to succeed. It provides them with the opportunity to strengthen their research, broaden their skillsets, network with top surgeons and learn about exciting advances in the field by participating in professional conferences. They receive benefits that reach beyond the podium or poster sessions.
